Why Woman in Season Exists
Not the history of an organization. The story of why it had to exist.
For years, I have watched women lead, serve, build, nurture, and carry extraordinary responsibilities — often becoming the strength others depend on. Yet behind the strength, many women quietly carry seasons that others never see. The exhaustion. The uncertainty. The transitions. The disappointments. The questions. The need for support.
It has always troubled me that women, especially those viewed as successful or strong, can become isolated by the very roles they carry. They are celebrated for what they accomplish but may struggle to find spaces where they can be honest about what they need. But strength and need can exist together. Wisdom and uncertainty can exist together. Success and struggle can exist together.
"No woman should have to choose between being respected and being real."
Yvonne P. Baxter
For much of my life, I have been known as the strong one. The encourager. The achiever. The person others could depend on. Through every chapter, my faith in God has been my anchor — shaping how I love, serve, lead, and navigate the seasons of life.
But I have also learned an important truth: a woman can be blessed and still carry burdens. She can be successful and still struggle. She can be strong and still need support.
"Strength should never require silence."
Long before Woman in Season had a name, my kitchen and dining room tables were gathering places. Women and girls gathered to talk, laugh, cry, dream, ask questions, seek wisdom, and simply be themselves. What I thought was simply hospitality, I now recognize as preparation. For more than twenty years, a vision quietly lived in my heart — a vision rooted in my belief that God created us for relationship, encouragement, and community. That vision became Woman in Season.
My hope is that every woman who joins us feels encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that she was created with purpose for every season she walks. There is wisdom in every season. And there is always a seat waiting for you.

To cultivate a safe table where women can gather without performance, grow without comparison, and be deeply seen and understood in the season they are walking — spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and financially.
A world where every woman is known, valued, equipped, and flourishing in every season of life.
What We Believe
We believe every season of a woman's life carries wisdom, purpose, and value — and that women were never meant to carry life alone.
Every woman deserves dignity. Authenticity is more important than image. Comparison diminishes community.
Wisdom grows through relationships. Every season has value. Grace and truth belong together.
Growth happens in safe spaces. Hospitality is a ministry. Confidentiality builds trust. Faith informs everything we do, while love welcomes everyone.
